The International Appraisers Association (IAA) is a personal property association dedicated to providing our members with the best association support available to build and sustain their appraisal practice. Our core principles are to:

    The reality of the Personal Property Appraisal industry is that the general public does not know who we are or what we do. IAA’s goal is to educate the public and member’s clients through an organized and ongoing publicity campaign. Our staff members have a history in the advertising and public relations industries having worked with and for such companies such as Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide.

    Our growing membership includes seasoned and well respected appraisers, gemologists, auctioneers, dealers, fine art and antiquities experts and gallery owners country and worldwide. We hold our appraisers to the highest ethical and professional standards and we treat them with the professionalism they deserve.

    Our divisions concentrate on three primary areas: gems & jewelry (GJ), antiques and residential contents (ARC), and fine art (FA).

    We have a professional development and credentialing program. In addition our code of ethics stresses professional and personal accountability.

    Our staff is from the appraisal industry. We strive to give you, our member, the best support you need for your appraisal business.

    IAA recognizes all courses and certificates issued and awarded by the respected Appraisers Association of America (AAA), American Society of Appraisers (ASA), International Society of Appraisers (ISA), National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). Members are encouraged to explore courses and memberships with these organizations also.
